Let's talk about me!

I come from a long line of strong-willed women, and I am no exception. I'm deeply spiritual, idealistic, and passionate. I believe my life's work is to bring light and love to the people whose lives touch mine. The fact that I find darkness seductive keeps things interesting. Light and dark, joy and despair; it's all about balance. (Yes, I am a Libra) I believe the world is rapidly becoming dangerously unstable, and is spinning its way out of our control. I believe we will pay a price for this, but I don't know precisely what that will be. I am watchful and hopeful.

I love to sing, read, cook, write, sleep, and meditate. I spend as much time as possible outdoors, preferably in the company of trees and water. I am typically caught up in some kind of reverie or another as I go through the day. I'm 45 years old, and I'm in the process of divorce after 22 years of marriage and a lovely bunch of children, ranging in age from 12 - 20. They are practically perfect in every way, and they are my raison d'être.

Although my will is strong, my body is not; I have fibromyalgia and lupus (SLE), which keeps finding new and interesting organs to chew on. And just for fun: I have intractable daily migraine! Woohoo! Who says the Universe doesn't have a sense of humor?

I am often exhausted to the point of tears, and I have a propensity for melancholy, but I am determined and have a great sense of humor and profound gratitude. I still believe that life is essentially good. There is work for me to do and light to shine.
